Following her dream of leaving for Spain to pursue a better life, Nina 13-year-old-roma girl must become a skilled pickpocket. This could happen under the control of the bossy Vasill, but Nina is feeling trapped in her relation with him. There are days when she is almost ready to run away from him. During her next attempt she is caught red-handed, but her victim decides not to call the police and, instead, offers help.

HRISTO SIMEONOV
He is a film director and writer based in Sofia. Hristo is a Berlinale and Sarajevo Talent alumni. His collaboration with human rights foundations in Bulgaria resulted in the creation of multiple documentaries and videos with social agendas. Hristo short fiction films are shown at international festivals like Clermont-Ferrand, Tampere, Krakow, Dresden, Bilbao, Cottbus, Molodist, Triest, Thessaloniki, Vienna, etc. His debut short film The son (2015) won the Main Short Film Prize at Cottbus Film Festival (2016) and Best Bulgarian Short Film at the Bulgarian Film Academy Awards (2016) and other 15 awards. Currently, Hristo develops his first feature film.

The older marriage sails out on a cruise on the lakes, where they have spent the entire one’s life. The enclosed space of the yacht provokes reflection on the future as well on what has passed. In the evenings old melodies resound.

STANISŁAW CUSKE
Born in 1996. Currently, he is a student of Cinematography at the Faculty of Radio and Television of the University of Silesia in Katowice. He has completed the Film Kindergarten course at the Wajda School. His artistic pursuits include music videos, feature and documentary films, such as “Subcultures” (2014) and “Under the Sails” (2016). Among his film awards, there is the Grand Prix at the OKFA National Independent Cinema Competition for his picture “The Race” (2016).

THE LILLIE’S SELLER | dir. Igor Galuk | ARG | 2020 | 18 min

Jacinta and her granddaughter Indira are Bolivian migrants. During the spring they work collecting flowers on the coast of the river, which they then sell in the cemetery of the town of Magdalena. Their daily tasks are hampered by racial problems that still exist in Argentina in relation to the ancestral cultures of Latin America.

IGOR GALUK
He is a screenwriter and film and television director. He studied photography, music and audiovisual communication. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts of the National University of La Plata (UNLP). With his short films and documentary series, he has participated in important national and international festivals, including the San Sebastián Festival, Locarno and Viña del Mar. He is currently finishing his first documentary feature film.
