DESCRIPTION
The Michelin star is the restaurateur’s dream – a distinction awarded to a select group of people who meet strict criteria and in return guarantee not only high quality service but also an unforgettable culinary experience. Maggie and Carsten love each other, have two children, and together run a gourmet restaurant, Malus. What they lack to be fully happy is a Michelin star. In the pursuit of their goal, they lose sight of what they already have. Christoffer Boe portrays people whose lives are constantly clashing on different levels – family, personal freedom and professional ambition.
DIRECTOR
Christoffer Boe (1974) Danish director and writer for film and television. Graduate in directing from the Danish Film School. Co-founder of AlphaVille Pictures Copenhagen, leader of the film group Hr. Boe & Co. Winner of the Camera d'Or for Best Director's Debut at the 56th Cannes IFF for "Reconstruction" (2003).
