DESCRIPTION
Tom is the perfect man – handsome, eloquent, knowledgeable, serving champagne with strawberries and morning coffee, he is the perfect partner for Alma – a modern, confident woman, a scientist working at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. Tom appears in Alma’s life not by chance, he is an android tailored to her character and needs, designed to fulfill her dreams of a life partner. The experiment of living for three weeks with a robot in human form is supposed to provide Alma with funds for her own research. Tom is infuriatingly perfect, though as time goes on he starts to become a little less predictable and Alma starts to become more and more emotionally involved.

DIRECTOR
Maria Schrader (1965), German stage and screen actress, writer and director. Her career was initially linked to the theatre, but the actress was soon noticed as one of the most outstanding talents of the new German cinema. She debuted as co-director of the film "The Giraffe" (1998). Her first independent feature film was "Liebesleben" (2007), although initially she only wanted to help the popular contemporary writer Zeruya Shalev to film her novel of the same title. She also directed the mini-series "Unorthodox" (2020) and presented her latest film "I Am Your Man" (2021) at this year's Berlin IFF.FILMOGRAPHY
