DESCRIPTION

A subtly told film about the difficult relationship between a father and son who, apart from their genes, are separated by virtually everything. Willis lives on a desolate farm, aging and suffering from dementia. His son John, living with his husband and raising an adopted daughter brings him to Los Angeles to be closer to his children John and Sarah. The story is not linear, Mortensen leads us through the recesses of Willis’ memory, which he gradually loses. John carries many tough memories and tries to do the best what he can to remain calm, although his father’s anger, intolerance and authoritarianism only intensify.
