Cabra, a teenager who dreams of a career as a professional malambo dancer, is preparing to take part in a competition that could determine his future. Unexpectedly, he is visited by his father, who lives rough with the law and plans to drag Cabra into his business. They hit the road in the wilderness of Argentina. Cabra finds himself in a race against time, trying to get back into the competition while facing a difficult choice. Félix says this about his work: “Where do we take refuge when we are teenagers and the adult world that is imposed on us comes with many more questions than answers? “Karnawal” is a coming-of-age film that claims that art plays a necessary role in order to build one’s own identity in the face of a society increasingly acculturated to the uniformity imposed by our modern times.”
