DESCRIPTION
An unusual narrative about recent Polish history. The protests in 1970 from the point of view of the authorities, from the perspective of the oppressors. Tomasz Wolski relies on historical sources – a record of conversations from the crisis headquarters and command center at the same time. He combines them with animations, creating an unusual, formally interesting image of a smoke-filled office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He points out the mechanisms of repression, contempt and propaganda. Giving the floor to the decision-makers reminds us who and when made the deadly decision to shoot the protesting workers.

Tomasz Wolski (1977) Polish director, cinematographer, and editor. A graduate of journalism at the Jagiellonian University and of the Documentary Course at the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing (2003). He creates both feature films and documentaries. He was awarded for his short feature films "Problem" (2020) and "Daughter" (2015) at film festivals in Poland and abroad. He has directed several documentary films.FILMOGRAPHY
