DESCRIPTION

The American dream, which is realized in its own way by a family of Korean migrants in the US. It’s the 1980s, Jacob moves from the West Coast to a farm in Arkansas with his wife and two children. They live in a mobile home, pursuing Jacob’s dream of a thriving Asian vegetable farm. Jacob’s wife, Monica, on the one hand shows her husband support, on the other is full of anxiety and fear of bankruptcy. Additionally, a new person comes to the family, a grandmother from Korea, who does not fit the stereotypical image of a sweet grandmother baking cookies – she prefers to play cards with her grandchildren instead. The extremely encouraging story is told from the perspective of Jacob’s son, David, who is the director’s alter ego.
